How to Make Sure Your Vote Is Counted
We opposed Proposition 1 on the ballot.
But we believe that ALL voters deserve a fair chance to get their ballots counted, not just Democrats whose ballots the governor is now trying to "rescue."
Check to be sure your ballot was counted.
It's easy using BallotTrax, provided by the state of California:
Was your ballot not received?
Was it received, but not yet counted?
Was it rejected?
This page will help you fix a ballot rejection due to issues of unsigned ballot envelopes, or non-matching signatures on mail ballots. Instructions to fix those issues are just below.
If you had other issues with your ballot, see this page (on Secretary of State's website) for contact info relating to provisional ballots and vote-by-mail ballots, county-by-county.
You will need to speak directly with your county elections office to understand and fix any issue besides signature issues for a mail ballot.

If Your Ballot Was Rejected for Being 'Unsigned' or 'Signature Did Not Match'
If your ballot was rejected for one of two reasons, you can fix it quickly. But do it now!
Did you forget to sign the outer envelope for your ballot?
Did you sign, but your signature looked different than the signature on file?
Your county elections official should have notified you by mail, giving you a chance to get your ballot counted.
Ideally, you should find the mailed notice sent to you by your county election officials, and return it following their process. Emailing them a scanned document is often an option, and the fastest.
The county is simply asking you to sign a statement swearing that (1) you did return a ballot, and (2) you only voted once.
When you send that form, they will count your ballot!

Below are the mailing addresses for county registrars and the brief, required forms you need. You can download one and sign, in case you misplaced your mailed notice.
Each county has a different form, so be sure to get your county's version.
Almost all counties allow you to email your form or affidavit, to speed up having your ballot counted.
Act quickly to be sure your vote is counted!
Some counties will wait as late as April 2 to hear back from you, but others have deadlines much sooner. (Any specific deadlines that counties list are noted below.) Find your county below if you don't have the information yet. If the deadline listed has passed, we still recommend attempting to cure your ballot anyway and keeping time-stamped records of your efforts. If the election is close, the campaign might attempt to have such ballots counted.
